Directory

What it is

The directory is where you browse everything that customises Claude — skills, connectors and plugins — without hopping between menus. It’s the Discover half of Customize; Yours is the other half.

On Team and Enterprise plans it’s also where skills shared across your organisation turn up, both the ones an owner has provisioned centrally and the ones colleagues have published org-wide.

Sidebar → Customize, then pick Skills, Connectors or Plugins, then Discover.

On the web

claude.ai/customize — same tabs, same Discover view. The address goes straight there: /customize/skills/discover.

How to use it

Browse for a skill or plugin

The Skills and Plugins catalogues are the same one. It opens with a featured pack from Anthropic, then rows of tiles — For you, New, Most installed. Each tile carries a short description and either how many installs it has or when it was added. Add on a tile installs it; one you already have reads Added and can’t be added twice.

Browse for a connector

The Connectors catalogue is laid out differently: Yours / Discover, search, Filter and Add connector controls, then Top connectors and themed sections such as Health, each with a Show all. Connect on a tile starts its authorisation flow.

See what your organisation shares (Team and Enterprise)

Anthropic documents a Your organization tab in the Skills directory, holding skills owners have provisioned centrally and skills colleagues have shared org-wide. You can’t remove an org-shared skill from your own list — only the person who shared it, or an owner, can.

Good to know

Installed skills from the directory are read-only. You can use one but not edit it. To change how it works, download a copy, modify it and upload it as your own.
Turning one off doesn’t lose it. It stays in the directory so you can switch it back on later.
Skills and Plugins share a catalogue; Connectors doesn’t. /customize/skills/discover and /customize/plugins/discover show the same tiles. /customize/connectors/directory is its own thing.
Org sharing is off by default. An owner has to turn on Share with organization under Organization settings → Skills before anyone can publish org-wide.
Directly-shared skills bypass the directory. If a colleague shares one with you personally, it lands straight in your list.

What’s changed recently

2026-10-07 — Inspected Skills, Plugins and Connectors Discover on both platforms. Skills/Plugins show featured Data and For you packs; Connectors shows a curated carousel and Top connectors.
2026-09-13 — The directory is now the Discover tab of each Customize section rather than something you open from a + → Browse menu, and it is reachable by address (/customize/skills/discover, /customize/connectors/directory). The skills and plugins catalogue gained curated rows — a featured Anthropic pack, For you, New and Most installed — and per-tile install counts. Anthropic’s help-centre article still describes the older + → Browse route.
