What it is
A writing style tells Claude how to write back — shorter, more explanatory, more formal — and you could once pick one per chat. This page is kept as a record: the composer entry point was absent in the inspected account, and no replacement location has been confirmed.

No Use style entry appeared in the inspected unified + menu. This establishes absence from those menus on this account, not removal from every possible surface.
How to use it
Not applicable while the entry point is missing. If you relied on custom styles, Customize is the place to look — though there is no confirmation that they are there.
Good to know
- No replacement was established in this review. The inspected menus do not establish product-wide removal or availability on other accounts.
- Don’t confuse it with the voice Style setting. Settings → General has a Voice section containing Language, Style and Speed — that controls how voice mode sounds, not how Claude writes.
What’s changed recently
- 2026-10-07 — Use style is absent from both inspected unified + menus; no alternative entry or official retirement statement was established.
- 2026-09-13 — Re-checked on desktop build 1.52386.3 and on claude.ai. Use style is absent from the composer + menu in both Chat and Cowork mode on both platforms. The feature is now marked deprecated and the stale walkthrough video has been removed.
